Submitted By: G Knorr Jr: I've recently started a new subscription after being away for a long, long time. I originally read Baseball Digest as a youth in 1971 and immediately became hooked with the stats and tables one doesn't normally see in a sports magazine. I also enjoyed the rosters for each team in the April issue each year, and the stories about old time baseball and the game's rich history. I have subscribed to other sports magazines over the years but none of them had enough baseball coverage to suit me...USA Today's Baseball Weekly was great at the start, but I'm no longer interested in reporting on the NFL or NASCAR. (I loved the old SPORTING NEWS when it was all baseball, baseball, baseball; but TSN eventually sold out to other sports, too.) In the end, my need for the baseball reportage which I find the most fulfilling has led me back to Baseball Digest. It's the same magazine I grew up with and I'm grateful for that. (The only thing that disappoints me is that it is now published only 10 times a year instead of each month. I need BD 12 times a year!) If one is a true baseball fan thru and thru, and if its history--as well as its present day stars--pique your interest, only Baseball Digest will do. Thanks for being there BD!! Just renewed for 3 years.
